Richard C. Blaska        Principal

Mr. Blaska started in the elevator industry in 1984 as an estimator & regional coordinator with U.S. Elevator Corp. (USEC) at their factory in Spring Valley, CA.  While there he later served as assistant manager distributor operations before relocating to the SF Bay Area to the post of new product sales and then manager of modernization & repair.  Blaska relocated to Honolulu, HI for USEC as branch manager for two years and then returned to the mainland as a modernization sales manager for USEC in Sacramento, CA.  Blaska relocated once again for USEC to the San Francisco Bay Area with the position of construction manager.  He also championed new products sales as a top grosser in the US for four years.  Blaska left USEC, which had been purchased by Thyssen Elevator, later becoming ThyssenKrupp Elevator, when he formed RCB Consulting.

About our company
RCB Elevator Consulting, LLC was founded in 1999 (originally as RCB Consulting) to provide elevator drafting & engineering services, AutoCAD Turnkey setup & training and computer networking services.  We no longer perform the latter two functions but focus exclusively on providing quality elevator drafting & engineering services.

Structural Engineering
Approximately half of our work involves structural engineering.  These services are provided in collaboration with Mr. Ronald B. Eddington, Eddington Engineering.  Mr. Eddington is a California licensed structural engineer with over 20 years of experience.  Prior to forming Eddington Engineering, Ron was on the engineering staff of OSHPD reviewing elevator submittals for hospitals and nursing facilities.

RCB Elevator Consulting, LLC frequently collaborates with professionals of various engineering disciplines to bring our clients a complete and comprehensive engineering package.  These include architects, sound engineers, electrical engineers, testing agencies, management companies, material venders, OEM fabricators, and many others.
